We did not purposely set out to eat here but chanced upon this displayed poster while my wife and I were running an errand at Paseo de Sta. Rosa. The price instantly caught our attention so we decided to try it out. Of course, our budget was proportionate to the equivalent of two.
The Old Spaghetti House Mix & Match
For the price of PHP 150, diners can have their choice of meat and pasta, served with rice. Drinks are available either by adding PHP 15 for a glass of iced tea or through the regular-priced drinks. It is usually available from 10 am to 9 pm although there may be some variation depending on the branch. Prices are subject to 10% Service Charge.
My wife will always go for the best-seller so that was what she asked for plus any all-time favorite, just in case. In this case, it consisted of Vietnamese Garlic Pasta and Golden Crusted Fish Fillet. She did not order for any dessert as we already bought some sweets earlier even before we decided to eat here. For drinks, she only opted for water because of her sore throat.
I chose the Alfredo pasta and the Chicken BBQ. I ordered a glass of iced tea as well but declined to order any dessert for the reason mentioned above.
From a scale of 1-5 with 1 being the lowest and 5 the highest, here is our verdict:
While our eating experience at The Old Spaghetti House was overall satisfactory and we have no negative comments whatsoever, we believe there is always room for improvement. I'm just glad that our search started at a very positive note. We expect to try many more. After all, this is only the start of the year. By the end of the year, we will be choosing the best value for our money's worth.
